The Paris-Saclay Research Center
The center
To create value over the long term, Air Liquide’s Research & Development teams are exploring new territories. The main of the nine research centers operated throughout the world by the Group is Paris-Saclay Research Center, located on a world-renowned science and technology campus that bustles with 11,000 researchers and 48,000 students.
Areas of research
The Paris-Saclay Research Center covers all the technologies and processes that the Group offers its customers and patients. Research is becoming 3-D: science, technology and usage. The goal is to create value for customers by developing new technologies and imagining new uses. The research center is particularly active in researching the “Plant of the future” and hydrogen energy.
The future
To meet the challenges of today and tomorrow, the Group decided to modernize and enlarge the Paris-Saclay Research Center: a single building that will host the existing 350 researchers and 46 laboratories. It will have the equipment needed to design and test technologies at full scale. Under the open innovation initiative, the research teams will develop projects in partnership with the academic and industrial players within the Paris-Saclay ecosystem.
